Hello everyone,
in my Sharepoint environment i have two Sharepoint Servers (2013) which run the same services and one Database Server (SQL Server 2012). I am trying to create a Workflow Farm with one installation on each Sharepoint Server and an installation on the Databse Server. The Databases which are created from Workflow Manager also are located on this Database Server.
I am using the Workflow Manager Configuration Wizard for Configuration.
When i Install Workflow Manager on the Sharepoint Servers with automatically created certificates and with enabled SSL connection with SQL Server instance and join or create a Workflow Farm, everything works fine. However if i try to install Worfklow Manager on the Machine where the Database is located i get the following error on the step "Add host to Workflow Manager Farm":
Installing auto-generated certificate.
Unable to obtain private key file name for certificate with thumbprint:779D9FB690D1E127A76A1045XXXXXXX
Does anyone know how to resolver this?
My other Questions:
1. Could this error occur because the Database Server and the Workflow Manager Installation are on the same Machine with activated SSL?
2. Do i even need to activate SSL Encryption to the database Server when the Database and the Workflow Manager installation are on the same machine?
